Carolyn Reimann: Atherton’s Waterfall Circuit

While in far north Queensland, I would highly recommend that everyone does the famous Atherton Tableland’s Waterfall Circuit.

There are 3 waterfalls in the closed circuit by Milla Milla which I will focus on in this post. However, there are so many waterfalls in the area that if you have the time I would recommend that you try to see more.

Milla Milla is a small rural town on the Atherton Tablelands. You can find the brown sign for the waterfall circuit from all directions entering Milla Milla so it’s pretty much impossible to get lost.

Would recommend:

  • Camera
  • Bathing suit

Every walk to these falls was very quick, I wouldn’t say any of the distances was over 1km. So these falls are for everyone of all fitness levels. However, only the top part of Zillie Falls and all of Millia Milla are wheelchair friendly.

Milla Milla is the stand out one that is used in all the advertisements around the tablelands. And it is the only one with a public toilet.

A special thanks to Alex for being my model in all of these pictures 🙂
